Not a bad lookin' ol' Beezer A65 at all. But, at present the bid is up to $6000 and still hasn't hit reserve, and so I'm wonderin' how much the guy wants for it. Ya see, I'm thinkin' $6000 is pretty much a fair price right there, especially considering its less than A-1 overall condition.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I think $6000 is a little steep for something that was sitting and not gone through.

Yeah, maybe so, Ian. however, if that's the actual mileage on that baby, and considerin' it's pretty much bone-stock and not "molested"(read: "customized"...as that will always depreciate the value of collectables such as this), I still say $6K isn't that bad a price for it.
But yeah, like the guy in that other thread who thinkin' of buyin' that Triumph 650 in the basement, it all depends on what condition the motor is in, huh?!

Yes and the chrome needs some help on the BSA too, at least the rims. It is a nice piece just not worth the $6000 as is in my opinion. There are much more desireable models.

that's a way bitchin bike and worth every penny of what you're askin'..regardless of what others have opined...however, if you need to sell it quickly, may have to settle for a bit less. I'd keep it 'til it sells for the six gs....imo. Beezers are just cool..period. and that one is in great shape. (it also matches my Thunderbolt..same year) good luck!

Hmmmmm....well, unless you might be talkin' about pre-unit A10 models or, of course, Gold Stars...of all the A65 "Power Egg" unit BSA models, I can't think of any other models in BSA's late '60s model line which might be more desirable than this Firebird, Ian. Okay, well maybe the Spitfire, but I think the last year for those was '67 or '68.
(btw...I might have mentioned before that back in those late '60s I had a '66 Lightning...good machine, it never let me down...okay it did once, when the "smoke" somehow escaped from its Lucas wiring loom)

Place your bids on Ebay. Bill wet my appetite when he sent me a link showing one for sale in the US. Bill and I drove these in our younger days. He had a 1970 model and I had a 69. This also was a barn find and only has 4800 miles on it.
EBAY BSA

Last picture ..Why is it that these dumbcoffs, store nice stuff with out a ****** cover on them,They don't deserve nice vehicles, and they aren't worth what the owner thinks many times, just cause they are old and a bit rare,,,i'm lookin at the mustang, how much would it have taken to throw an old bedspread over it. dumb a$$'$
