My wife had a 99 Shadow 750 which was a nice bike but she didn't ride it much, then I got her a 2006 black speedy and she can't keep off of it, she loves it! I have a 2009 speedy and am really impressed with it. Good Luck with your new ride, I know your going to LOVE IT!

Congratulations! Too bad you can't pick it up today as it going to be a lot colder tomorrow! You would not have had to fool with straps and trucks.

We can't wait to see some pics and hear about your adventure. The easiest way to to post pics is if you have a face book acount. they have an easy uploader post them to your facebook. Then click on the pic you want to move to here. after you get the inlarged pic right click on it then click on properties at the bottom of the page that will pop up, and you will see the url address. highlight the url address make sure you get the whole thing it should say jpg on the end. Then right click then copy. Go to the Bonnie forum you want to post it in. Make a post as usual then, click the image button,( one of those warning banners will drop drown it says. This website is using a scripted window to ask for information. If you trust this website, click her to allow) you will have to click that then allow, then click image again. Then right click in the bar that will pop up then paste then click ok. in the post you are making it should look like this [image] http:// what ever the url is with a bunch of numbers, ending in jpg [image] then when you hit continue the pic should appear in the preview window. Then continue as normal.

Photobucket is the easiest to post pix I think. They have an easy uploader and a bulk uploader if you want to upload multiple pix at once. Then they have a direct link right next to the pic and all you have to do is click that. You don't even have to right click it just by clicking it it automaticly copies it. Then paste it in to the UBB code on the edit page when you post.

Thats cool I guess I should get a Photobucket account then I can dump Facebook because I hate it I only use it as a photo storage.

Since there is still no 'well I'm home' post yet, I assume you are still stuck in the "one more time around town to show everyone" loop. Well, eventually you are going to have to eat and take a little nap. Did you check whether the door is wide enough to bring it in with you?

I made it back home with my new motorcycle in tow!!! I was like a kid on Christmas day this morning, I could hardly wait to get on the road for the long drive...it was snowing when I left my house this morning. When we got to the guys house I bought it from and saw the bike, I could hardly contain my excitement...I know I had the biggest stupid grin on my face! I'm going to try and post a few pics...hopefully I can get it to work. Here it is, the new ride all trailered up! Here's me on my very first motorcycle!! Woo HOO!! I have a one car garage so as you can see there's just enough room for the bike & the car.

Sweet looking ride. She looks like she already has many of the upgrades people like to do (Bubs?, ISO Kuryakin grips, sissybar, windscreen, floor boards, etc). Enjoy her as the weather warms up. Be aure to wear good gear to keep that "happy as a clam" smile.

Congrats on the new purchase Julie. Great looking bike and black is my favourit also.
One item to note is the orientation of your windshield. It looks like it is mounted wrong. Too vertical. The upper mounts might be installed backwards.
Have fun.

2 cents: Typically the shield should be about the same angle as the forks... Yours definitely looks to be too vertical from the picture.
Congrats again!

OH come on man, she just got it home, cut her some slack. Besides don't you see that smile, thats truely happy we don't get to feel that way much. Nice bike, it fits ya. Got lotsa extras; grips, floor boards, windshield, and a back rest with luggage rack. I like that backrest alot. Cool bike, you'll have to post all of your adventures on it.

Very nice bike. Black ones are THE fastest and the fork reflectors create a ventury affect which speeds the wind up to a higher velocity making it even faster. I think I will glue mine back on.
