I just got back from my first long run without the AI and with the EPCOs. OH MY GOD. I see why people loved that old bike. Im looking down going 50, hardly using the throttle.
The bike feels happy, It was 39 degrees out and I didnt want to bring it home. The sound was a tad loud ,but jeeez !
The pipes sounded great, felt like there was power at every level. Is the technology old yup! And in this case the older the better. Its a retro bike, now it has a retro sound and breaths very retro. I see why people come to me and say that there 60s something Bonneville was the best bike they ever had. You know when I bought this bike I had no idea of its heritage I just liked the way it looked. It wasnt the fastest or highest tech, but I thought it looked kinda cool. As time has gone by Ive learned about Triumph.Ive learned how to improve my bike from you guys. You know what? I love this bike more every time I ride it

Yeah, I had a '72 (I think) Bonnie back in the day. I was a good looking bike and it went and sounded great with a 2 into 1 pipe. I knew zero about bike maintenance, yet it never let me down.

I had a 79 Bonnie and it wasn't fast but had a lot of character. Everyone said how great Triumphs handeled and it never failed to start. The sound was awesome and it was stock. Triumph has something everyone else wants to copy. that is character. Kawasaki tried it and couldn't do it.

I was so much older then, I am younger than that now (Wrote By Dylan Sung by the BYRDS,)
