A neighbor of mine, Bob Crowder, is a knifemaker. Last year he polished up a piece of aluminum for the bike and was showing me some of his craft. The Damascus steel is interesting & beautiful. I guess it has a history going back before the time of Christ. Very thin laminate of iron and steel, has a "wood grain" type pattern. Humm.. I wonder what parts I can replace on the America with Damascus steel? Now that would be
