I have experience with short tapered TORs. The sound is good... much better than stock. There were two types of TORs made no matter what length or style, and they were either the straight through glass pack variety, or the baffled pipes. I run the glass pack version but other members may chime in here with thoughts on the difference in sound between the two types, if any. On a side note, I notice my glass packs getting louder over time... it's okay, I like it! Still not too loud, only if I open 'er up really.
