Never happened to me, but did to a buddy of mine, years ago. He was going down the highway on a 500 Kaw and the chain broke. Wrapped and locked up the rear sprocket, slid sideways at 50 mph, scared the bejesus out of him! Of course, like me, he was broke most of the time, and I hate to think how many times he'd taken a link out of the chain to adjust for normal stretching. (Just as a funny story, his "ole lady" kept a tight reign on him, really tight. When she was home, or knew about it, she didn't like him going very far away. At times she only let him ride on the road in front of the trailer, a hard packed gravel road about 1/2 mile long. So sometimes, I would hear him winding the old two stroke 500 Kaw up and down the road, over and over, down the road and up the road, down the road and up the road....She WAS good looking, but by the time she finally kicked him out, his "jewels" were pretty much shrunk to the size of a couple of peas. EARLY peas.
