Spoke to a technician at the EBC Brake Importers (Australia) today. He said they have found that many brake problems are caused by mismatched discs and disc pads - where the disc pad material doesnt heat up at the same rate as the disc rotor. He recommends using discs and pads from the same manufacturer as they are tested to be compatible. He also said floating discs (on the front) are an definite advantage over solid mounted - allows everything (caliper/pads/rotor) to align better and better cooling.
By the way, the deal Brent is offering on the EBC floating disc/pads combo is hard to beat. Great price - especially for us TBA owners !!!

I am now interested to know if anyone had warped discs using genuine Triumph disc pads ?
