Here's a song that wants to be finger picked on that ol' Gretsch, but with the band playing it with an R&B / torch song groove & maybe a bossa nova drum thing. You could hang the lyric a half a 1/4 beat back and still be in the pocket. You'd have 'em weepin' in the aisles. It's pretty much an R&B song to begin with. Picture Gladys Knight kickin' it, and there you go.
