Bill. Good post. I think it is safe to say that Rush must have had problems reducing his dosage and getting away from the stuff. LOL
Oxy/Hydro ...all those are very physically addictive. After two years I have a strong tolerance for Percocet. Two each....(if I am having pain that is in the 6 range on a scale of 1-10) will relieve that pain to a degree for about two hours and it takes an hour for maximum blood absorption.
I admit to a desire to boost the dosage at those times. Thankfully my pain levels are beginning to diminish.
Once its gone for good I intend to immediately halve my intake and increase the duration between dosage....find the current onset of initial withdrawal symptoms and start working it.

I try to inject that type of humor into my conversations with co-workers and friends. The folks that work in the Lap/hone department at Sargent whom I have pushed/harangued so unmercifully over the years jokingly asked if they could have their piece of the leg ....
