I just bought a pair of black plastic saddlebags, which appear to be about what I would have designed. I love the look and they were cheap $145 with shipping and insurance.

Those are some very nice bags. I really like the lights on them. Can you use those lights for marker lights and turn signals? Since they are ABS plastics and lock, I suppose you could leave them on the bike all the time. Are you going to paint them to match your bike?

I definitely like the looks and from the photos, the functionality. Definitely let us know how easily you mount them.

Hi Soren, Eventually, I may paint them. They already match yours. I thought I could add a couple MPH if I left them black (is that true?).

Hi Piper,
I thought these would look better than the old ones I got on ebay. The old ones stick out too far with the EZBrackets, due to the curved inner mounting surface.
I may mount directly to use the LED indicators.
I would imagine they can be used as running/marker lights as well, Soren. I'll check with the SandMann

My bride just called me at work to tell me the side cases arrived as did the top case. I made her open them and she said the were beautiful. We here on the site will be the judge of that when I post pictures of them mounted. Give me a couple days.

Can't wait to see the pics and to hear if you wire them up as turn signals or just running lights. And yes, if you just leave them black you may pick up a couple extra horses not to mention the increase in torque. Soren

I removed the backrest last night and put on the top case. It looks like a GIVI but the lid is high gloss black. The side bags are 6" wide and flat on the backside, so I will try with EasyBrackets tonight and post some pics.

Hi Mike,
They are pretty, but seem to be a more brittle plastic than the old Shoei/Bates bags from the 70s (they are made in China). The TopCase is great, but the backrest is molded soft plastic and needs to be modified or replaced.
I didn't finish mounting them tonight, as I had problems removing the EZBrackets from my old Shoei bags. Pics will be available tomorrow night or Monday morning. I hate 12 hour shifts, they blow your whole day. But working 14 days a month is great.
I'll post a picture of one side case with a 6pack so everyone here can relate (should I use Heinekin or
Hacker-Pschorr?) I dare not use American swill, to avoid ridicule.

Bro Foz, Yes, look at the other pics in the photopost and you'll see how much they stick out. I am going to remove my rear pumpkin indicators and hard mount the bags permenantly. Look for my EasyBrackets on ebay soon.

I like the bags too, but the side bags are a bit small and I just can seem to let them grow on me. The top case is super sized and convenient, and the extra brake lights are comforting, but something is just not right. I think I wanted a Kuryakyn Grantour rear case and this one is too "profound". I will keep my easy brackets and use them with Leatherneck Jim's Denver VLeather bags, and get the Grandtour for a top case. So, I say to my shiny black luggage, "Off to eBay, with the lot of you!". I'll list the topcase at $49, the side bags at $49 to try and recoup some money. I spent like $280 for the lot. They just don't look right to me. Maybe if my bike was black, or if I painted the cases red? I don't know.

My warped opinion???? I think it's the seat. If they were red like the bike and if you had the solo/pillion combo seat they would look more betterer. Just my opinion....

Nah, I think they look pretty darn good. I think the black matches the tinted windshield. And as much as I don't like the looks of the touring seat, the lines all seem to mesh quite nicely with the bags...just my 2 cents.

Dennis. Just my take on the bags. I do like them. Although they do appear to be a bit small like you say, but so are triumph stockers. I think they would look better if they sat a bit higher to cover the fender more and land more into the curve of the seat. Did your new seat from Rick arrive yet?. Also they will look bigger for sure if you paint them the same as the fender so eyes are not directly drawn to them. You did pay a good price for sure. I personally like the hard bags like Case from ttp://www.bbreproductions.com./Could you tell me what their holding capacity is? Willy/BikerT

Oh, I was also going to ask you were you got those rear foot boards. I think they look sweet and really help cover up that pigs ear.

BikerT,
I am selling them on ebay soon. They are too small, and the latches are garbage. I will go to Lowes' Home Improvement store and buy cabinet locks to replace the chincy Chinese locks. I love the side cases, but after going to Triumph's Open house in Birmingham, my bride asked me to take them off, because she had forgotten how beautiful the bike was before.
THE REAR PEGS: They are Kuryakyn ISO Wings, available anywhere Kuryakyn parts are sold. I bought mine from bikerhaven72501 on ebay, who seems to have the best prices on Kury stuff. My wife likes them.
Rick Mayer seat will be built on May 5th, so it should be here around the middle of the month.
