Cheap insurance and many dealers prefer it this way. Toss them a bone here and there and it goes a long way towards resolving any issues should they arrise later on. I tried your idea Dinqua. After I changed the oil and removed the AI myself I called today to see about making an appointment to let them do the rest of the 500 mile check "officially" and the guy had the brass to tell me it "would cost more cause they price it as a package" I do believe I have found one of those "scary" dealerships that you do not want to do business with. (Other than purchasing the bike itself) Only one dealer in Tucson. Watch out!
