I did it, its pretty simple. Just need to make a new bracket for mounting it to the frame. The rubber gromets up front I just trimmed down till the tank went over them. All and all took me about an hour to make fit.

That's the spirit! I've worked xmas before and loved it. Beats the sitting around the house pretending to be jolly.

I hit your photobucket album but didn't see any close-ups of your handlebars and gauge mounting. Care to share?

I got the handle bars off ebay about 9 years ago, I got short bars, a set a few inches bigger than the triumph stock bars ( which were on the full dress america ) and beach bar set far to big to put on anything I have owned.
one of the sets had K & N stamped on the riser.
All were from the same manufacture but one was packaged as a K&N accessory(odd?)
The tach is the Triumph unit for the speedy or america, the speedo is an aftermarket mini from one of the major dealers, maybe drag specialties.
I will look to see if I have more photos to put on photobucket.
I added some pvc pipe the diameter of the gauges to the top of a stock headlight bucket (from a wreck) and glassed it in , drilled holes in the bucket and mounted the gauges.

I have been looking around for one of these tanks and they are harder to come by than our tanks. They must be few and far between.

It took me a while to find mine and even then it had a few dents in it I had to take care of.

thanks for sharing your pics fellas. so i got my tank in the mail and i just want to see if you guys can maybe clarify. it's an 08 t100 tank but i'm told it's carbureted. are the 08 from the states carbureted and europe fuel injected?

...and issue number two. i just noticed the new tanks badges are glued on. how can i get my harmonica badges on there?

if the tank is for a carb bike it will have the same mount for the petcock that the original tank has.
as for the badges you can use 3m automotive trim 2 sided tape. it sticks to everything very well.

Under the "glued on badges" there are screws..so if you harmonica badges attach by screws..you are good to go
