When I bought the bike a couple of years ago, the ride home was 170 miles. At 5'7", the only prob was sore legs from reaching for the pegs. Put the boards on shortly after, and they work great for 1000 mile days. When I go too far into a turn, the boards drag, as would a peg. When I dropped the bike in 03, the board took the weight and little else was damaged (the muffler was scratched, but not the pipe). I'd recommend them.
