Naaah, Ian. I DISagree with your thesis here. WWII was waged between recognized countries with mostly clearly delineated "fronts", but TODAY we are mostly engaged in battle against "Guerrillas" using hit and run tactics. Clearly a whole different type of war, which demands whole different tactics.
