I took my bike in for maintenance at the place where I bought it and lo and behold, I see a used Bonneville T100 for sale there. I had only seen Bonneville in pictures, so I was a bit taken aback by the fact that it's considerably bigger than I thought it would be. The fit and finish are top notch. There's a lot of attention paid to detail and it shows. I got on it... man!! It was by far the most comfortable bike I've ever been on!! Everything just fell into place. There was no adjusting to the bike, or finding foot pegs, etc. Everything was perfectly fitted to me! It was love at first sight! I called over a friend of mine who brought in his bike as well. He sat on it and his eyes lit up. He said that was the most comfortable bike he's ever been on!

The sales guy was busy, so I didn't want to bother him to find out how much the thing was, but I got a taste as to why all of you guys are so enthralled with your Americas and Speedmasters! Pictures don't do them justice.

I only rode the T100 once, but when I did it was a perfect fit. What a spirited ride!!

I got to use one(09 T100) as a loner while my speedy was at the shop for a day. I thought it was fun and incredibly flickable. Here's a couple pics of it in front of my house.

If you are looking for a maneuvarable bike ,you can't go wrong with the std bonnys. Buy it, it would actually be the better choice for your area and conditions then a tba or speedy. The worse part is they aren't near as eyecatching then the tba or spdy.

Geoff, who unfortunately hasn't come 'round here in many moons, has a real pretty creamsicle orange and cream Bonnie. Sweet bike.

Where y'at Geoff?

I just traded my 08 T100 (looked just like the one pictured above) for a big touring machine. I can tell you after two years and 8K miles I was very sorry to let her go... they are great machines for commuting and I did several 300+ mile days on that stock seat(albeit with some serious Monkey-butt)

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Just over ten years. Congrats on your discovery! Technically the T-100 is not that old. But the very first Hinckley Bonnies (model yr 2001) came with chromed engine cases. No tach though. Then the Bonnevilles yielded their chrome cases to the T-100s. Kinda why I want a 2001 Bonneville.

The fit of the Bonneville is not the same as either the Bonneville America, America, or Speedmaster. Quickly, the position of the foot pegs, bench seat vs saddle, bar position, saddle/bench seat heights. Rake and Trail differences too.

I realize that the T-100 riding position is very different from the cruiser Triumph offerings. I wish I had a chance to take it for a ride. Such a wonderful feeling bike! Since the new Triumphs go for around $20k here, I assume that this bike was at least $12k, which is still considerably more than I would be willing to spend. It was great sitting on it though.

My frame likes an upright riding position. Though I love my ba it isnt comfortable for rides over an hour or 2 for me. The std bonny has a position very much like my tiger and I can ride that all day.

The T-100/Bonnies will outperform The America /Speedys in every way, but comfort at long hauls. The Thruxton will out perform both, but don't try to ride it all day. 1050 Tiger! like a Lincoln Towncar, you really don't know how fast you're going till you pass folks going the speed limit or a state trooper tells you.
