One of the most awesome color combinations...and quite rare, too, I'll bet.
Ride 'em, or look at 'em. It's hard to do both!

Bike is a credit to you. Is that a custom screen?

The screen is from NationalCycle. It's pretty flimsy, that's why it has the upper homemade supports.

Very Nice!
So, what's the deal with the rear peg hanger contraption thing?

Looks like an interesting way to add mid pegs while keeping the rider pegs.

As much as I love this Speedmaster (I have that neon blue tank to go on my America) I keep being drawn back to the black Bonnie SE in that one photo. Wowzers.

The black Bonnie SE is an awesome bike. We swapped rides for a short distance on that trip. If Triumph was building that SE in 05 that is what I would have bought. The mid-mount pegs and controls are due to my short legs, seriously. I got a 30" inseam and I got the tank in the old family jewels a few times hitting just that right bump in the road once in awhile. Got sick of being smacked in the ---- so I changed the pegs and controls. I left the front stock foot pegs out in front for long trips, but I actually moved them back 2" from the original position. My legs bother me in one position some days,so I can move them to three peg positions on long trips to help the blood flow.If you notice the rear brake master cylinder and shifter are moved to the mid-mount position.

I have the same inseam. If I didn't go with floorboards, I would've eventually had to do something else with the pegs.

Me too... and I wondered if I could ever ride my bike safely until, like John I got floorboards. But your setup is innovation at it's best! Nicely done!!

Seems such a shame to have to alter a beautifully engineered machine when neutering is an alternative. You'd be less preoccupied with typical male obsessions and able to ride more. Sadly there'd be nothing to do on a snowy day.

Chopperpaul you had to be talking with my wife. I am sure she would like your idea so this old fart would leave her alone espically on those cold mornings.

Your dedication to keeping the sm is an inspiration. My hat goes off to you. I've seen a lot less issues with our bikes see the need buy some to sell and buy what I consider a lesser bike. You obviously love your bike and so with a bit of ingenuity have sorted out the issues which is why I love this site. One of the more interesting posts I've seen for a while. Thanks Michael. Btw, have you relocated your rear break reservoir? I haven't seen that before. Unless I'm seeing things again
Staintune Pipes, K&N Pods, 45 pilots, TBS needles and 145 mains.

Staffo, you ask have I relocated my rear brake resevoir, yes. If you look towwards the top front of the right shock the plastic cup/resevoir is their on a home made alunimum bracket I made. That alunimum bracket was made out of a flat plate,I cut and heated it to bend it. First time I played with alunimum as far as heating and bending it. The master cylinder is there also,I made all the linkage and brake pedal.I put a couple of different holes in the linkage so I could change the feel of the brake pedal. I ordered the rear brake hose from J&P Cycle I got the fittings and hose through them.
