I think it may have something to do with past riding history. My SM is like a luxury yacht compared to my past rides. I used to do the long rides on a hard tail with a springer front end. Even rode that bike straight through to Cody Wyoming from Eastern PA, 36 hrs. This is the bike.
On a side note you can see the back end of one of my pitbulls snoozing on the carpet behind my bike loose.
