Hey Kenny! A friend of mine has a golden retriever that kept getting him tickets for allowing a dog to roam. So, he got one of them electric fence things. The dog was so smart he figured out that it made a warning tone before it shocked him. He would go to the perimiter until the thing started beeping, lie down, and wait for the battery to die. Or, he would put his head down, run like crazy, and take the hit. Smart Dog!
I met a guy who had a German Shorthair that would run full speed toward the edge. It would actually stun him but he would wind up on the outside of the "fence." When he was ready to come home he would stand outside and bark until they turned off the juice and let him in. I'm guessing there were lots of half German Shorthair pups around there.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
