I would agree that I don't ride the America hard (well not all the time), but my Tiger has 18,000 miles on it, and I've only adjusted the chain on it three times. Due to the nature of the beast I do ride the Tiger much harder (it's actual very difficult not to ride it hard). The Tiger's chain life, based on its rate of wear, should last about 25,000 miles.
