are you sure this can work? I would have said that the america's switch was a mechanical latch so when you push it left the left contact stays closed til you cancel it by pushing that middle button. With two separate switches the HD must have an electronic latch.
To make this work I think you might have to get something like the kisan signal minder which incorporates the electronic latch.
