I think you need to re-jet...
The hardest and scariest part about rejetting is really identifying which jets are which when you first take the float bowls off. That's one reason it's a little easier with the carbs OFF the bike, but you can do it without removing them. Just GET the allen head screws, and don't overtighten them when you put them in.
