Today I was out for a short ride and on the way home decided to swing by the local MC shop. They have loads of new & used bikes for sale, all makes & models.

As I was wandering around I spotted a tornado red & black Speedmaster. It was beautiful, and in perfect condition.

I glanced at the model year on the VIN sticker, manufactured 1/2005.

Wow, same as my 2005 Speedy!

So I looked at the VIN - it was my old Speedy!

It still had the original seat that had the celtic knot on the back, but the old running lights and Easy Bracket studs were removed.

31,635 miles, they're asking $3,999. The thing looked just as good as when I traded it in for my Vegas just 3 years ago. It had 15,000 miles on it then.

A couple of years back I met the guy who had bought it after my trade in, and he loved it. It looks like he took really good care of it.

(I'm NOT shilling for the seller, just wanted to share the great pics.)

Yep, fate made you walk into that shop, and your bike has been missing you and wants to come home

Definitely! You better buy it again now, otherwise you'll spend the next ten years thinking about it (or writing about it) and how much you miss it and have to find it again.

Nah, no pitter-patter as much as it was nice to see it - and in such good condition.
The Speedy would be the perfect starter bike for some new rider, or someone needing a 2nd bike in the stable.
I would be happier seeing someone else riding and enjoying it, we certainly had our fun on it.

Besides, I may need that $3,999 for a down payment on a Tiger 800.
