I took the front wheel off and everything looked good. I greased everything up and reassembled. Bill I took your advice on making sure the speedo cable wasn't over tightened, as I will admit I have a tendency to over tighten everything. So far everything seems okay and i haven't had any more issues. I did order a low miles speedo gear drive from Pinwall for $15 just in case as my bike is approaching 30k.
