I probably better explain before I get lynched...
I vaguely recall the desk clerk at the BW in Mt. Vernon, WA, asking me if I was in town for the Oyster Run (This is the day my bike died). When I said yes she knocked $40-50 off the room rate. She must’ve signed me up for the card. She knew my bike broke down and probably made the (usually correct) assumption.
I didn’t feel need to make sure she knew it was a Triumph…

I've thought Best Western is limiting themselves just offering the rewards program to Harley Riders. But I'm sure they are getting some type of kick back from Harley Inc.

it is sponsered by Harley but you can get that card. It don't matter what bike you ride most holtel clerks don't know about bikes. A woman once saw me ride up on my bike. She had never seen my bike before but had become aquainted with me previously. Anywa she said "I knew you were a Harley guy."

Oh yeah, I could probably show my title to most desk clerks (or anybody else for that matter) and they would still ask me if it's a Harley.  I don't care if Harley is getting a kickback. I want a cheaper room rate.

I think Best Western has a co-branding deal with Harley (at least maybe in Washington). When I was in Spokane last summer, their motorcycle parking is labeled "Harley Davidson Parking".

In Defence of the Oyster Run. It is not a harley rally. a lot of em show up though. It started out as anything else, a bunch of guys going to get great oysters. and it got morphed. last time I lived in Oak Harbor, which is up the mountain adn across deception pass bridge, me and my buddies didnt even bother going down the main street. had more fun on our favorite back roads. (who wants to burn up a clutch anyway, I also thought Daytona was WAY OVER RATED)
