Very best wishes to you all.. Hopefully he will recover really quickly, don't forget to look after yourself too, these things take it out of you.. (Two of mine have long-term health issues, and we've had some very scary years, so you have my very best wishes - being there when you need to be is just 'what you do' as a Dad..
