The Tiger should be cheaper to buy according to industry watchers.

Being somewhat vertically challenged (5'6") the issue I have is w/ seat height. The BMW has a low seat option that's the same as my Bonneville. All the other Triumphs (outside the crusers) are made for people a bit taller than I am.

i am also 5'6" and put over 40,000 on 2002, 2005 tigers. the only thing is that when you come to a stop it takes a little more planning. you can make any motorcycle fit you. the bmw will cost more in the long run.

If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.

Good to know. I'll be sure to not count those out just because of the seat height.

I'm not really in the market. I just think this bike looks like it would be a blast to ride...as would the Street Triple, Tiger 800, etc, etc...

...Also, This is the F800R not the F800GS, so the Tiger 800 isn't really the right bike to compare.

I love triumph as much as anyone else but if you want the BMW go for it! Don't listen to these guys.

The bike you probably need to compare it to is the Triumph Street Triple.

+1 That's the frame my 58 T-110 flat tracker is in the tank and headlight is similar to my 54 T-110 but that one has shocks in the back.
