I've removed my snorkle, enlarged the top opening and carved a new bottom opening to get maximum air through my K&N air filter, and rejetted. My air/fuel mixture is spot on and the power and throttle response are great. However, now it's time to go to pod filters.
I've read everything I could find on cutting up the air box, but almost everything I've found that's really detailed is on the RAT forum, and is on models other than the America.
I would really like to see what others have done with their air boxes on Americas to add Pod filters.
I believe that in addition to making sure I have everything secured that is now secured to the air box, I need to relocate the battery, brace my carbs and put in something to keep water, etc., from coming up from below and from the rear tire.
Any information or pics on what you have done would be appreciated.
