I, grew up pretty much only listening to 70's and 80's punk rock, and Surf music (still do) but as I get older I find I like old timey and outlaw country (Ernest Tubb to Hank III), lots of jazz (John Coltrane) the crooners (Frank Sinatra and especially Dean Martin) and finally thanks to my wife a lot of wierd indy rock (I really dig Calexico) that I would never have thought to listen to. We actually had music by Henry Mancini, Dean Martin and Calexico at my wedding, talk about non-traditional.
examples:
Dead Kennedys
Beach Boys
Ernest Tubb
Hank III
John Coltrane
Dean Martin
Calexico

...and that's what I'm listening too while I'm riding.
