Just brought this kz1000 1978 kawasaki home to keep my speedy company.

She is all running and registered and just needs a little TLC.

I think anyplace that sells truck or offroad accessories would have them. I remember seeing them in catalogs 25 years ago when I had a Baja Bug.

i bought one off a site that sells them for mini's for my 03 t100. any 7" headlight grill should work.

If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.

Yeah, Baja Bugs had 7" round headlights. So it should fit, ya know?

Here is a pic of my other bike the kz1000. I recently installed the bikini fairing and sissybar. A new exhaust is the next thing I am after as this one is rusted out.

Well after buying some tank badges on Fleabay they finally arrived this morning. They look in reality a bit worse for wear then I thought from the Fleabay pic but nonetheless this is what I have to work with.

Now after consulting with some members here on our Forum it seemed that Erle had successfully mounted some of these badges on his Hinckley tank so I knew it was feasable. Erle told me that the holes don't line up but are close and how to bend the correct curve. Unfortunately these were already bent badly and had some damage including a crack through the badge. Anyway after some nail biting moments of grinding, bending and bashing with a rubber mallet I was ready to start on the badge.
This is what I ended up with...

Well I could probally get them better if I persist but I am happy for now and the sun is shining so I am off for a ride.
