John, I did buy a different model, sort of. It is my first 865. And my first 'America'. Third like model? Sure! My first two have been good to me (Otis Redding). Vera Lynn and Cinnamon Girl have 94k and 82k miles respectively. And I wanted a low mileage America that had tank indents before time slipped away. Not too sure about the beauty of these wagon wheels on the 07. Yet they are repairable while trekking. I guess you could say I like the line of colonial cruisers Triumph introduced in 2001. Simple to work on, straightforward maintenance and Continental performance. Most importantly: affordable! Best bang for the buck. Some day I'll break away from the twins and Triumph in general and reach for the one delusion that borders on reality: the fabled Gold Wing.
