...in 1929, the Stock Market crashed.

And ya wanna know why? Because of Wall Street greed!

Well, Thank God they've fixed THAT, eh?!

(I wish I could take credit for this one, but it was David Letterman's joke)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

One year ago today, I lost my job of 25+ years. Too young to quit working, too old to find a decent job. Thank God I still have my bikes. Medicine for the soul.

Same old story, plant closed. Our manufacturing base is not so slowly going overseas. A country without that can not stay on top long. It's not just a political party eather. The "make a buck at any cost" thinking is killing this country.

I am fortunate enough to have seen the all original lineup a few years back. They were awesome. Thanks for reminding me of that Keith.

1965 - Traditionalist hurlers discover dabs of vasoline on the bills of otherwise brand new baseball caps. Infamous greaseballer, Gaylord Perry is heard say "Go Figure". In his later years, Perry switched to Preparation H, explaining the pungent odor kept his nasal passages clear.

Go Figure.

And, for some weird reason, the French insisted that the fighting should continue until 11:00 AM on 11/11.

Well GB, maybe the French are REALLY into Numerology???!!!

(..though I'm also thinkin' here if that's the case, then they might've built the Maginot Line later on usin' the wrong combination of numbers)

GB, your timeline is a bit screwed

The fighting stopped on the 11th November 1918, which was followed by months of negotiations when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on the 28th June 1919, which was the offical end of the war on the Western Front.
The war on the Eastern Front having ended after the Russian Revolution, in October 1917
