These, http://www.aerostich.com/heated-grip-kit.html which are cheaper, less obtrusive, and from what I can tell they work better too. (In fact, I plan on putting these on mine this winter to replace the over-wraps, which have ceased working for some reason, and I never really liked the grip feel with them on anyway.)

There are also these: http://www.aerostich.com/symtec-grip-heaters.html, which I know little about other than they're supposedly higher end...?

No matter what, the grip warmers are a must-do if you're riding in real cold. It's easy to put on another sweater under the gear, or another pair of socks, but keeping your paws warm is, in my experience, the most difficult thing to do. Heated grips or gloves is definitely the way to go.

I have Oxford Cruiser heated grips and would recommend them as they look good and get HOT.

i used the stick-on and did not like the result. the throttle could fry eggs and the left got warm. problem was that it was heating the bar where as the throttle had that nice plastic tube to melt.
i would consider those oxford, but i use heated gloves that cost about the same and go with you....not attached to the bike.

Good call on the Tourmaster heated gloves. The fact that they come with the controller and leads makes them a bargain($152).Anyone else have any feedback on them?

Nick (Night_Rider) has a heated grips on his bike. Maybe he will chime and help with the question, or try to PM him to see if you can wake him up!!

Meanwhile the idea is VERY appealing to me so I find this thread more than interesting. My Trophy has heated grip and all I can say is OMG!! The heated glove idea is intriguing too to say the least.

I'm also considering the use of heat packs to warm the ol' hands. There are all kinds of them on the market but these guys have some that are reusable. Just a thought.

Have just been to the Triumph dealer (3x) to pick up my new jacket, and discussed the heated grips options.

They are a big fan of the Oxford grips, but strangely, not fans of the 'cruiser' package - apparently a few customers have had issues with the rotary knob breaking etc, and their reccomendation was very much for the standard sets with the non-rotary pushbutton type controller.

Gonna have a bit more of a think about it!

I have the Oxford Cruiser grips. I didn’t like the control box and got them to get the electronic controller that is offered in the other sets, which I paid a little extra for. At the moment the electronic controller is zip tied to the bars in between the risers but I’m thinking I may mount it on top of the battery. I'm going to run all my wirers through the bars and will decide when I do that job.

just had the Oxford heated grips put on my bike, will try them out ASAP

I just installed the stick on type a couple of days ago. way better than nothing, however the throttle side does get a lot warmer. I even put a few layers of electrical tape on the clutch side to try to get more of the heat to my hands insted of the bar. Any suggestions of ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I keep coming back to this, specially as most recent rides have been between -5 and +5 degrees.

My research is telling me that only the 'cruiser' model oxford grips will fit, as they are for a 1inch/25mm bar, whereas the standard ones are for 22mm and will not fit.. but like others here have said, the 'standard' controller is better.

But I cant find the cruiser grips with a standard controller. Anyone point me in the right direction? I really want to get these ordered so they can be on in time for the xmas break...

Well.. I've ordered a set to fit the 1" bars, and have contacted a place that sell the controllers separately to determine compatibility..
