You don't have to remove the gas cap. And you have to unplug the wiring harness. Then pop out the lens using one of your not chewed to the quick fingernails. Then pull out the rubber tube from the back side. Roll the rubber tube on itself (like when you take off your socks and they turn inside out). Just enough to reach the bulb. For reassembly, position the rubber tubes ring onto the console. Then press the lens back in place. Triple check the positioning of both the rubber tube and the lens. A bit of spit helps reinsert the lens. When you reinsert the lens, doing so has a tendency to unseat the rubber tube: Thus the triple check. Okay one down. Repeat as necessary.

I got the three bulb kit from one of our vendors. Fast Eddy I think. I used two on one bike and the third bulb on the other. Turn signals I could care less about. It is the neutral light I want to see when stopped at a red light midday! The engine oil light is another. So one bike has the LED engine oil light and both bikes have the LED neutral lights.

Easy as popping open a beer. 5mm allen wrench. One finger nail (or a sharpened clothespin/pop-sickle stick.) Dang. While you are there, go ahead and wax the tank. And wash the underside of that filthy tank console will ya?

Yeah, I said you don't have to remove the gas cap. I was doing just that until Tom Vance enlighten me as he laughed heartily!
