My grandma is a prime example, about 2 months she totaled out her second car in less than 7 years. Both times single car accidents. Both times she had excuses like, "the brakes didn't work". I am extremely angry that the state does not have some sort of system to prevent this kind of thing. This last one wasn't even reported because it happened in a parking garage. Yes, she TOTALED A CAR IN A PARKING GARAGE!! My dad will not take her keys away, now she has another car. Young people suck out on the road, but at least they will acknowledge you after you yell and kick their car door, old people seem to have the tunnel vision and just pull right out in front of you and never look anywhere but the end of their own car hood.
