I havent seen Freebird, I'd like too. I wish I could find a Region 1 copy of it (one that will play in US DVD players), I've only been able to find UK copies.

On Any Sunday is "the" motorcycle movie, but not an adventure movie.

Motorcycle Diaries is motorycle adventure movie for about half the movie, then it turns into a "how I became a commie" movie. Maybe if the Norton never broke down, he wouldnt have become a t-shirt.

CC Rider was the typical biker movie, just happened to have a Super Bowl winning quarterback as the star.

If anyone brings up "The Great Escape" they get kicked in the head. It was a spectacular movie, but three minutes of motorcycle absolutley does not make it a motorcycle movie at all.

One of my favourite movies. It was an another time back then and it has a very Aussie feel. Click the link below in my signature to get a preview.

I also like "Mad Max" the first one but the Aussie version not the dubbed one they did for the U.S.

I loved Stone Cold with Brian Bosworth playing the lead, is that the same movie?

I forgot about Little Fauss and Big Halsy.

In your rant Soren why not put The Wild One in there? It also depends on you definition of adventure. That is no more an adventure movie than CC Rider. Then pick on Handy Manny, I dare you!

A bought a copy of it, it's over at the shop in the lending library. Typical "B" biker movie, but in Australia.

I never heard of Handy Manny. I'll have to look that up, then I'll pick on it

Even though it's not an adventure movie, The Wild One, is actually a good movie.

Yep. "Long Way Down"(the 1973 version starring Linda Lovelace) wasn't too bad at all!

(...huh?...what's that you say?...there's no motorcycle in that one?!...SURE there was!...I'm pretty sure Harry Reames rode a Bultaco around in that one!!!....okay, maybe not)

Motorcycle ADVENTURE movies, guys! Not just movies about or with bikes. Actual adventure, trips, journeys, no agenda, open road wherever the wind blows type travel!
With the exception of Worlds Fastest Indian, which is one of the best motorcycle AND adventure movies of all time!

I really like it cause it was filmed in the 70s when I grew up and was filmed locally where I live.
My mates and I all rode those kawasakis and Triumphs.
It was my life back then. Well except for all the killing.

Yup, GREAT movie. Ya know Jeff... many moons ago I did the same journey only in reverse. Me and a buddy headed out from BC to Ontario on our bikes when one day, in Saskatchewan... we calculated the number of days we'd been on the road. It was 16 days... yeah, 16 days later and we'd only made it that far. Why? Let's just say we spent a lot of time sitting on the side of the road saying.... "WOW MAN!" The year was 1971.
