I've never felt mine slipping. While I tend to ride aggressively I don't generally do any hard launches, since this is a lot to get moving from a dead stop so I try not to abuse it. I know Moe's clutch was slipping when he left Florida to come here. I think he had 60k on it at the time. But he took it easy and made the whole trip without replacing it. Maybe he'll chime in and correct me because I'm sure I got part of that wrong.
Close enough Friar. It was in Arkansas that she started slipping. Now the sisters have 65.5K 86.6K miles now (Cinnamon Girl and Vera Lynn). Turns out the only reason CG's clutch was slipping was due to a brain fart. yes, the cable was a wee bit too tight.
And those miles are with jack rabbit starts all the time. Albeit CG got pampered for the remaining 6K miles of her Montana/NY trek. (Rear tires love turtle starts.) So the brain fart really was a boon as the rear tire hung on till I got GC home.
Point? Your clutch should last a long long time. Just keep the ham fisted hardely riders off your bike, i.e., don't leave your keys in the ignition at bike nights.
