Yes, that has striked me too. The guy from SFRO told me that there was a professor at the "Royal tecnical university" that took an interest in the maths and calculations to get these bikes steady and smooth steering. He had his students do a lot of tests and measurments. If I got it right he then made recommendations to thoes in charge of the road safety. Long forks of a sertan standard became both manuverable and legal. Perhaps that is a part of the explanation...
