Definition of troll... toughluck55.

Okay i guess I am not a geek and know what troll means??

Okay Jason, allow me to 'splain this to ya then....

The common definition of a website "troll" is often someone who lacks the "seniority"(in other words, someone who is a relative "newbie" to a website, and/or has scant numbers of postings at a particular website over an extended period of time) and who starts and/or states in an existing thread a "provocative" idea which may barely skirt and/or actually violate the "AUP"s(Acceptable Use Policies) of said website. And, I think some folks around here think you might have barely skirted those AUPs by starting this thread and continuing to push it so as to get "rolling" into a possible political rant by other members.

Now unfortunately, as I stated above, this moniker of "troll" is often more likely to be bestowed upon those members who lack "senority"(once again, a relatively small number of total postings at a particular website), and less so to other members who may have numerous postings and who often can seem to get away with being "provocative".

Yep, it often isn't fair, I understand that, but that's just the way it is. Don't take offense to it.

(...and for the record, personally I don't think you're a "troll"...I think you're just a "smartazz" like me, THAT'S all!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
