I got a free 24 hours, so decided to pull a quick overnighter last Friday. Strapped a change of clothes and some just-in-case tools on the back of the Daytona, and headed out after work Friday for Fancy Gap, VA. I don't see too well in the dark any more, so took the interstate up there and pulled up to the house just after dark. Got a nice fire going in the fireplace and just relaxed for the evening. Woke up early Saturday am, knocked down the grass in the orchard one last time this year, and finally got to ride a little bit. Ran around on the BRP for awhile, and was surprised that it wasn't that crowded. When it was time to head back home, I took the long way and had a great ride on a perfect day. Ran down 52 from Fancy Gap, then hit 89 by Hanging Rock (helluva fun road), and 65 to Stokesdale before heading back home to pick up kids in the afternoon. Didn't have my camera, but must have seen at least 50 pictures I wanted to take. The big old Daytona ran great, and it was one of days that just makes you smile. Here's a couple of shots from my cell phone; first is in front of an old flea market building in Fancy Gap, and the second is in Oak Ridge in front of the military academy (had to stop to tie my boot). (My bag looks like it's big as a billboard in the second photo...must just be a funny angle or something).

Everybody stay safe,

Will
