Took my bike in today, have a service scheduled for Tuesday, they gave me a 1050 Speed Triple for the weekend to play on... I'm gonna find some back roads to bomb down Pics later

Well, I took it out early this morning for as long as I could handle... Not quite the comfort level I enjoy from a bike. My right wrist and left knee definitely needed to get off after about 60-70 miles. This bike does fast too easily, makes it kind of less fun. I think I would rather go fast on a slow bike than slow on a fast bike. No challenge to do triple digits, and you can barely tell when you get there. It took me a while to get comfortable in the corners with it, and I don't go fast enough to get any good lean angle with it. More comfortable than the Street Triple R that I rode, the seat is padded more and a touch bigger. I do like the single side swing arm, and whatever exhaust is on here sounds pretty mean.

What'd you think of the RAW POWAH? Seriously, though -- I got to ride one of those last year, and... wow. Just wow. Reminded me why I'm not allowed to own sportbikes any more. Seriously, I didn't push the bike too far, but the power delivery was just incredible, and the bike itself is as friendly and neutral as one could ask. No, it's not a cruiser and it has very different handling characteristics. It's more "wadded up," and I'm like you, my knees would start to ache after about an hour or so in the saddle. That said, it'd be one h*ll of an hour. --Jaeger

I know what you mean Dave (btw, the ol' Dodge is looking good out there on the street )! My Trophy is a MISSILE on wheels! I've pulled a ton + so many times it's not funny, and getting there is virtually instantaneous! It's like I RIDE my TBA... the Trophy I just sit on it and GO!!!!

haha, yeah, I would rather do it on the America and feel every bit of the speed instead of looking down and thinking- huh, that fast already?
The Dodge is coming along, the front clip will come off soon and get painted, and the engine and bay will be detailed as well. I try to drive it every day.

Triumph sport bikes are like crack once you get used to them.Instead of thinking about the velocity anymore I think about leaning,,,and leaning,,,,,and leaning.Scrape pegs on a speed triple or God forbid a Tiger and you have truly gone over the edge to madness.

I rode that bike and was casually(or so I thought) taking off and the front wheel lifted off the ground a little. Whoa, that is one bad mo fo bike. Very uncomfortable and not my style but the power is insane.

As I rode over to Chris's house today, some dude in a tuner Honda wanted to race at an intersection. I blasted it off the line, the front went way up, came down and back up as I slammed second gear, then I was gone! Tuner boy didn't stand a chance He did end up passing me about a mile later, but he was driving like an a$$ weaving in and out of traffic... at that point I was no longer interested in playing. But, the wheel coming up as high as it did surprised me, not something I want to do again. I was glad to get back on the America today and cruise again. Something about having that much power and speed available makes you want to do bad things with it

Once again, I hear ya Dave. Same thing with my Trophy... the front lifts off the ground far too readily. Then when it comes back down I'm doing warp 3!!! Yeah, have to say I'm more of a cruiser too. But that power IS impressive!! I sometimes wondered why a touring bike needs that kind of spunk. Then, this fall I stripped the Trophy of her panniers and top box and voila... a sport bike. Okay, now I get it!!!

Thats funny when cars try to race bikes.Even my BA dusts tuners off the line.Against a sport bike,no car measures up.You wanna really hurt there feelings with a triple triumph?Just let em get 5 of 6 car lengths on you THEN blow them away.
