Found a neat little lunch spot not far from work. The waiters aren't much for conversation (what do you want from jackrabbits and prairie dogs), and the food is so-so, but the seats are neat looking and comfy, and the view is great...

It would be nice to go further in to get away from the highway, but I think Kerr McGee has a strong opinion about people who tresspass on their natural gas wells. Not to mention, I don't want a backfire at the wrong time around a gas well. Might get me to the mountains a LOT faster than I want!

Hrm... I don't like it. Too dusty. I've been trying to cut back on dust- you know, watching my figure and all.

as long as it's not windy, it's ok. Besides I bring water along to wash down the PB&J and grit....

I don't see a lot of tire tracks so I'm thinkin'... not a lot of people coming and going through that gate. I love the feeling of solitude the place and picture have to offer. Nice vibes!!!
Live to love, love to live.

correct you are mountainman. Further in is a gas well, so the gates are locked. I suspect you'll only see a maintenance crew there every once in a great while, so completely undisturbed. On the downside, the interstate is pretty close by, so you have a lot of car noise, but there is another locked entrance on the south side of this lot that I may move to, that also has a pretty good view...
