I wish I'd been around for that. It sounds like it was a lot of fun. Funny thing is, I live on a mountainside where my top floor is street level, then there's a middle floor and a bottom cellar. I've considered an elevator to get from floor to floor. The need's not there yet but someday I won't be able to get to my garden which is two flights down.
Oh, and I know nothing about water softeners!
