My Taco on my 05 America just died , now i will check just incase it is a wiring issue , but i started pricing a new one
The local dealership tells me he has one in stock for $690 just the taco no wiring
or he can order me a kit with wiring harness for $250
Now not sure if i heard him right i asked him to explain the difference
$690 is a taco with no harness for warranty claims ?
And $250 is for the taco to fit the America as an accessory
What a lot of $hit

Those prices have to be wrong. Did you miss a decimal point?

Hey Boof, I know what you mean. I buy most of my parts from the UK, and save a bundle. If you are interested PM me or send me your phone number and I will send you the details of who to call.

As an example I needed a new ignitor. (Procom weren't making them at the time)

Australian price $1180.

UK price including delivery $635.

With the current exchange rate it would be even better.

Also parts are usually in stock and shipped the same day, received here 7 days later.

Thanks frank I have priced them in the US and UK and the price diff is only about $30
The prices he gave were $690 & $250
Like i said he said the difference was one was for warranty replacement and the other was an acc for the America

I got the tacho (including harness for older bikes) for my America for $250 from Team Moto back in '09. Doesn't make sense about the warranty price.

Hey Boof - the tacho is on special for $179 - this Triumph Australia newsletter just arrived in my email.

How's that for timing - someone's smiling on you mate.

Once tacos reached these prices, I switched to hamburgers.

fast eddy carries them (Drag Specialties brand) and can probably ship to you for a good price

Make sure you get one that rings when you hit redline. You'll never miss with a Taco Bell.
