my 04 speedmaster has 60,000 miles on it in the last 5k or so i have noticed a surge at low RPM granted it does need some long overdue TLC, has anyone else had a simliar roblem. I know fuel delivery can be a contributing factor but i was also wondering about if the T.P.S. wil give me any problems. i was also wondering if the balencers will throw it off?

Check your chain for wear, the surging could be the chain getting tight then loose again. They don't wear evenly and when you get one worn enough you get tight spots. As the chain turns between tight and loose it feels like a surge.

if you suspect the fuel system, it won't hurt to run some Seafoam through it

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

True...

That whole chain idea though, that's a good one.

Kimmy's '05 America was doing the same....removed carbs, disassembled, cleaned thoroughly, re-assembled, re-installed, problem corrected...
