Well, it was a perfect day for a ride. A little cold this morning, 36F, but warmed up nicely by noon. Was 70 on the way home. Not a cloud in the sky all day.
I got to Toymakers about 12:40, parked, and spotted Tom. We talked a bit, and I went inside to place my order. Who walks in but Matt. He got mad at me for not calling him. So, I said what's the big deal? You're here aren't you. He must not have realised I sent him a telepathic message.
We met a guy named Al on a 1953 Sunbeam. Very cool inline parallel twin, with a 2-1 exhaust, single Amal carb, and an exposed shaft drive. The rear hub was mounted to shocks that moved up and down. Not sure what that's called.
Anyway, It was a GREAT day, and I put about 150 miles on my new (used) Corbin w/backrest. I love it. Will do a revue.
Hey moe, the leaves are starting to turn. Get up here!
Uncle Charlie

All are welcome to stop by our humble abode, but me going riding this weekend is probably not on the agenda. Hard to say until the last minute how that goes. Time will tell.

I was the only Triumph amongst at least 30 Harleys at Toymakers today.

If you're looking for some awesome Tiger trails, try Mt. Riga off route 44 in Salisbury or Mt. Washington Rd. off route 41 just south of route 23 in South Egremeont. Both are within a half hour of Toymakers. Mt. Riga has a mountain top lake that's so clear, you can see 20' down to the gravel bottom. VERY cold water though.
If you make it up Mt. Riga, be sure to ride faster if you hear banjos playing the theme from "Deliverance." The Mt. folk don't care much for outsiders.
A detective buddy was investigating a murder up there and said to a group of Mt. folk :
"Hi fellas"
"Are you a cop?"
"Yep"
"Then f' you"

Nice day for a ride on Sunday. The colors were great, not too cold out. I hear next Sunday will be nice...
