Ignition Control Unit coul still be the problem. Husband's 04 Speedy has been dealing with this. Procom is really good about making sure the unit you get from them is going to work well for you. It will cause the bike to suddenly shut off, even after the bike has been warm. We've had it out on a long ride, get to the end of the offramp and suddenly it shut off. Fires right up again, when you hit the starter.
Also, when I took it to the shop as the ICU was having issues, I could feel it hesitating in first gear, almost like I was runing bad fuel through it. Funky little box thos ICUs! Might not be able to determine it is the unit without switching out with a good one to make sure. My 2006 America Unit wouldn't work on his Speedy, so you have to make sure it is the right one. 2004 Speedmasters have two different units too, so you might just have to get a new unit for it. We are happy with Procom, and you can map the Unit for better preformance.
