The 2011 models are now shown on the Triumph UK website (http://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk) Greater distinction between the models - America now styled more as a "classic" (lower, fatter) - not sure if I like it yet ... and the Speedmaster now looks like a real bad-*ss custom.. Highlight : new wheels on the Speedmaster look well .. WOW!!

I'm likin' the America more and the Speedmaster less. I do like the fact that they have different forks to go with the different size front tires. I always thought the Kawasaki Vulcan Custom (900) looked fugly because they just used spacers on the standard forks.
The speedmaster also lost the dual front brakes and both now have one piece seats.

Wow, they actually have quite a bit of differences between the two bikes. The Speedmaster wheels are pretty sweet for non spoked! A fatty tire on the front of the America, and two tone paint on both fenders. Smaller headlight on the Speedy. Triumph just keeps making winners, IMO.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

My favorite year for the Speedmaster is 2007. They have the classic tank and those black wheels.
If the frame hasnt changed, I'm betting that new rear fender might fit on the older models.

Finally there is a significant styling difference between the the two, and I agree, the new Speedmaster looks awesome. Now the tank just needs some knee pockets... It does look as though they raided the parts bin a bit with the T-100 tail light and thunderbird headlight. Meanwhile the thunderbird "storm" gets Rocket III Roadster headlights.

Wow, they finally moved the blinkies off the handle bars on the American, nice. But not the Speedy? Fat tire looks cool but will affect steering Forks look sweet on the Speedy. Now if they could go back to the Cool tank of yesteryear. What's going on with the headlight bucket on Speedy?

They gotta be looking at this site for all their next ideas...bobbed fender on the speedmaster and lowering the america?....This site should get a check from triumph every month. Speedmaster looks a little funky, but this picture is really awesome...notice the blacked out lower forks. I miss that big headlight though.

Nice styling overall methinks and especially like the risers on the Speedy ...but when will they choose to lose the disgusting giant plastic chrome eggcups they've chosen for the speedo(I've got one on my '10 TBA and it looks like something the Japs would have used in the seventies.) Al

I love it I wish I could go and trade mine in on a thunder bird storm. I do love the new speedy it is basically everything we all do to them as soon as we get them done from the factory. The only thing that is disappointing is the single disk up front that was a big factor in buying my bike.
Life need a little Triumph!

The Speedie looks good. I'm liking the bobbed fender, forks, and risers. I am not liking those wheels though, they look like something off a mid-80s jap bike, and no more dual disc front brakes, wtf?! I really like the new color for the America it looks good, on the Cranberry red for the Speedie. it would be nice if the factory would start offering some wheel options too.

I put this in Rides and rallies, but come to think of it...this seems much better home.and even more relevant to the 2011 models Enjoy. Al At last a new improved machine from ‘The Motor Company’ After years of speculation we finally obtained some pictures of Hardly’s new mid range machine. Not surprisingly until very recently the factory continued to deny all knowledge of this bike but we, Dear Reader, spotted this one actually being ridden on the road. When we confronted Davie Williamson , managing director of Hardly Derision (Europe) He was finally forced to admit the truth about this much rumoured bike. Granting AMOCTIMES an exclusive interview , Davie told us the story of the bike( known as the Bourneville) and it’s development/ “See guys we figured the MoCo needed a new machine. From the feedback we’ve been getting-to which we always pay attention- say are you ok? I thought I heard you choke there?- we knew we had to address some of the problems inherent in our existing model range. For example take the Snotster…it’s a fine bike , but some purchasers have taken to misusing it….like running it at high speed, or at all in fact,…in which case, naturally, your going to have problems with a Snotster …like the gearbox…this was designed in an age when gear teeth were traditionally cut from play dough-you cant expect to run at sustained freeway (sorry, motorway) speeds with this sort of metallurgy. And again we took a long look at our Diner range ….we found that this bike tends to be bought by folks who like to stop a lot for doughnuts, so we’re happy to let them do that and maybe relax to the tinkling melody of timing chains spitting metal into oil pumps…that sure is a popular pastime to judge from the letters I get. But there was something we figured was missing from our range of bikes…..maybe one that wouldn’t even break the bank let alone any of its component parts, and one that maybe just was more suited to century we live in, ****** man we’re living in the fast lane now with some of our rivals using advanced technology –like them new fangled ‘overheard clams’ I hear tell of.
So here it is…..the Bourneville……
As you can see it’s a traditional V twin….we tried all sorts of angles for the V before settling on 360 degrees……looks neat, eh? And we needed to have 2 chains on it so ( radically) we put one to work driving the rear wheel….it’s kinda like a belt but it doesn’t snap or squeak and you can even tension it yourself too. Oh and the other chain we made to turn the valves –originally we were thinking of using it with little buckets attached to fetch up oil from the crankcase to splash around the top end but then we had the idea of using it instead to open the valves –pretty neat, huh? Only thing we haven’t worked out yet is how to machine-in any inherent problems with the motor….it just keeps going apparently…but we’ve got a whole team working on that one right now with ideas like maybe a little tray that drops a rusty bolt into the bottom end every 1500 miles- though we haven’t finalised that yet. Best of all, though, like all Hardly’s the Bourneville is 100% Mercian
“Finally†says Davie proudly…….. “We think this is one Hardly that’s going to sell like…er….like stuff that sells quite well. Go buy one now, and be the last kid on your block to have your bike come home in a box…Gee d’ya think that would work as sales slogan?â€
Al ps couldnt quite get the hang of where the photos should go-but they're of my 2010 TBA

Well, if we're now doin' another caption contest here Soren, then I'm not so sure the looks and body language goin' on between all those folks in that picture are those which would signal some kind'a mutual cooperation.
And so, I think maybe a better caption here might be:
"Dude, ALL I said was is that this new America I'm sittin' on is as hot lookin' as your wife is, THAT'S all!!!"
(...oh, and btw, gettin' back on track here...I think Triumph appears to have done an excellent job of raiding their own parts bin, mixin' and matchin' those parts across their different cruiser model lines, and ultimately comin' up with some VERY NICE lookin' motorcycles that somehow manages more distinction between them all)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

sacrilege. Here is the real deal. (I do likey the 2011 speedy's new wheels!) Honesty who can deny the charm of a real prefire? vs this? I'm sorry but when they took away the spokes and did the far east funk with the tank, well, never mind.

man that picture of that dude standing like that irritates the sht out of me.
I hate how triumph goes out of their way to be the exact opposite of the harley stereotype. Its like the triumph executives are sitting at a table like...
"so whats the opposite of white trash redneck harley riders?"
"oh sir, I believe the answer would be eurotrash moviestar models that have never pulled a clutch in before"

Sorry Tom, but I ain't a seein' any "eurotrash" moviestar lookin' models there.(well, except for that HOT lookin' BABE there anyway!) Look dude, maybe there ain't that many reasonably decent "normal" lookin' people" there in South Joi-sey, but out West here, not every good ol' 'Merican Boy is at least 75 friggin' pounds overweight, shaves his head, NOR has terrible enough groomin' standard that he doesn't give f*** about how he looks. Nope sorry Tom, those dudes(I already mentioned that I thought that babe WAS a babe here right?!), look like they could be your average, everyday, healthy, heterosexual, non-eurotrash, reasonably successful, American males in their mid-thirties to me, ol' buddy!!! (...that is IF they aren't LIMEYS...but then again, nobody in that picture is smilin' at all, and so I can't see their TEETH to make sure if they are or not!!!)

I like what they did to the front end of the speedy ('cept getting rid of one disc)... not so much the back. When they make a 'roadster' version (controls moved back, big bore, more torque) I'm on board.

Yep, I had me a feelin' that you'd bring that there overused misnomer "Metrosexual" to describe any American male who, as I mentioned earlier isn't, "at least 75 friggin' pounds overweight, shaves his head, NOR has terrible enough groomin' standard that he doesn't give f*** about how he looks", into this here conversation. (yep...no surprise there, kid...though I might have earlier forgotten to also mention that part about "beer bellies"...though you DO have to admit that my closing joke about the British Dental Health Care System wasn't too bad, RIGHT???...though admittedly, maybe a joke that's a bit "overused" there TOO!!!)

Regarding the SM; Do my eyes deceive me, or did the rev counter finally find a proper home. Now that's progress! The front wheel does suck a tad, though.

I like the fact they differentiated them a little more. I agree with the tank cut outs. That's the last real update they need to do with these for a bit. Give it back it's classic look. The Speedmaster does have a bit of a Thunderbird, Jr. thing going on. Overall, I think it's nice to see some updates. Win! ~Brent

I don't like the new "bobbed" rear fender look but I do like the new wheels on the SM and from the pic I like the headlight and speedo but need to see them inperson before I decide for sure.Looks like they gave the risers some curve too, like that. I also like the blacked out trees. There is also a ground effect on the frame behind the front wheel I'm not crazy about. All the stuff on the new SM it is almost like they are watching this site.

I like the new Speedmaster. I've thought about bobbing my fender, and the seat looks exactly the way it should have from the beginning.
