Angelis knows his stuff. But I knows some stuff too. If LEO the
Lion points his favorite toy at you and goes "click", you're screwed.
If he nails somebody ahead of you, you're fine. I have had
detectors go off up to 12 miles ahead of the radar trap,
and that was years ago, when they weren't as good as they are
today. If your county is short on revenue and sends out some
mobile tax collectors, they more than likely will do it at
a time with more than a little bit of traffic. And there's a
good chance somebody in front of you a ways is speeding. So
their tears are your salvation. And if your radar detector
catches 2 revenue collection sites and you slow down and pootle on by,
it has paid for itself. Now if you're going the
speed of light in a speed of sound zone, your screwed.
If you're the only one on the road, same thing.
But ifn you ain't halfway to stupid yet, you have a chance.
