as a physicist and designer of lasers for NASA and other DOD angecies, I agree with the comments about laser detectors. Once it goes off, it's too late!
I still run a detector in my car and for radar it has saved my butt many many times!
I don't go that fast on the bike, speed doesnt trip my trigger like it used to...acceleration, now thats a different story!
