It is possible to move the controls back a little. I solved the reach problem on Wendy's bike with the floor boards. I installed the boards allowing her to move her feet around where ever comfortable while riding. I then took the arm off the splined shaft where it comes out of the transmission and moved it to a position bringing the shift pedal back so she didn't have to reach for it leaving adjustment on the rod. I also adjusted the brake pedal back using the adjustment rod. She is 5'2.I lowered the bike 2" and brought the bars back for her too.
